Sousuke Aizen
Footsteps echo softly throughout the nearly silent halls of the inner sanctum of one of the most evil places in the universe. Shadows writhe in pain against a wall while the unholy armies of the Arrancars carry out their gruesome duties. Each warrior of the teeming legions of Hueco Mundo must ultimately answer to the orders of a man who was once a Soul Reaper, but sacrificed that position to allow him the limitless powers of the immortal commander of the harbingers of death. No man is a match for the constant maneuvering and manipulation that typifies the deadly game he plays with the lives of others.
To command the cunning and skill that Sosuke Aizen possesses takes a special individual. Do you believe yourself up to the challenge, puny human?
1) Do not be overly concerned with your defeats. Even when he is outmaneuvered, Sosuke Aizen is planning his next action and not thinking of the fact that he was outwitted.
2) Don’t be afraid to take some actions into your own hands. When the going gets tough, Aizen never abandons his assistants.
3) Have an unpredictable flair to yourself when acting like Lord Aizen. Though he is never over the top about it, he doesn’t always make a move that the other characters expect him to.
4) Even when your back is against the wall, so to speak, keep your wits about you. Sosuke Aizen is never one to give into pure emotional reactions.
5) Watch the Bleach anime and read the Bleach manga to ensure that you have a full memory of each of Lord Aizen’s capers under your belt.
6) After fully defecting out of the Soul Society, Sosuke Aizen wears a white robe with a high collar. If you want to attempt a cosplay as Aizen, you might also wish to add the lavender cummerbund that he wears around his waist.
7) Sosuke Aizen also wears rectangular eyeglasses with relatively thin frames. These could be frames with no lenses if you do not regularly wear eyeglasses, and are trying to cosplay as the dark Lord.
8) However, when moving into Hueco Mundo, he removes these abovementioned glasses. Therefore, if you are trying to portray yourself as a later version of Aizen, you may wish to forgo the glasses and slick back your hair.
9) Carry yourself in an intellectual manner. Lord Aizen is low-key and highly intelligent.
10) Do not be afraid to gather information before acting on something. He consults research conducted by Kisuke Urahara when removing the Hogyoku from Rukia Kuchiki.
11) Possess some knowledge that’s on the cutting edge. Sosuke Aizen was responsible for many experiments involving the combination of Soul Reapers and Hollows.
12) Always leave yourself an out. While the evil mastermind behind many of the problems for nearly everyone in the story may not exactly be the best role model, Sosuke Aizen is never one to get into something so deep that he cannot escape from it.
13) Project some air of mystery about yourself. Sosuke Aizen is a constant source of the hidden and the arcane. Tite Kubo once mentioned in an interview that part of Lord Aizen’s appeal comes from his mysterious personality.
14) Have a healthily subdued personality when acting as Sosuke Aizen. In none of Lord Aizen’s exploits does he ever get overly excited.
15) Be sure to surround yourself with as much Bleach memorabilia and collectible merchandise as possible. Each piece will be a reminder of the persona of the grand nemesis of the Soul Society.
