In case you missed it (because your not following me on Twitter :weep: ) on April 17, 2009 I purchased my first cosplay wig on eBay. I’m trying to become more like my favorite character Akira Kogami from Lucky Star. So my first step was purchasing this really, awesome hot pink wig. I found a seller on eBay who had the kind of wig I wanted and they offered it at a fairly reasonable price (compared to the others sellers on the site).
After I made my purchase I started to get all excited about its arrival and then I started wondering if those that cosplay already experience this same incredible feeling as well?!
Before my wig purchase I wasn’t into the whole cosplay scene. I didn’t get dressing up as a character (I don’t get dressed up as anything, period – I don’t even dress up for Halloween) but on April 17, 2009 something changed inside me. A door was opened and it revealed to me the wonderful world of cosplay.
Yeah, it started with a simple hot pink wig and where will it lead me next? I don’t know but I’m excited to find out.
I mentioned my new found excitement into the world of cosplay to the others here and to my surprise they have been talking with a supplier of cosplay costumes. I don’t know when or if a deal will be made but that would be incredibly awesome to have a costume to go with my bitchin hair :-)
I’ll update you on the wigs arrival. So exciting!
