The Puella Magi Madoka Magica Kaname Madoka anime figure has an interesting history. For a series that appears to be so pleasant and joyous, Puella Magi Madoka Magica has a fair share of tragedy in the content. This might very well be the reason that one of the spin-off manga series was entitled Puella Magi Kazumi Magica: The Innocent Malice. Innocent Malice describes a great deal of what the series is about. For those that missed it, however, there are two compilation films coming up with a third film that tells a new story.
Regardless of whether or not one is a new fan, however, this figure certainly depicts a span of time in which things are far better for the Puella Magi. She is kind and always put her friends before herself. This is true, even if she is presented here in 1/8th her usual size. It shows off all of her charms, including the cute Kyubey that hangs off her arm just like in the key visual that was originally used for the series.
She comes fully painted with Kohata Takahiro having done the job of sculpting her. The figure is fully licensed, with cooperation from Nendoron. Naturally, Madoka would never want her fans to have to break the rules. As with many anime figure sculptor, Kohata Takahiro’s name is becoming more common these days as fans talk about the quality of the art.
The PVC figure might give a new reason to refer to the Good Smile Company by the formal name. After all, she is pleasant and smiling in a way that warms the heart of even the darkest witch. With a charm around her neck, a frilly pink costume and a pair of gloves across her delicate hands, Madoka aims to please in the only way she knows how. The clear plastic base makes sure that this happy attitude isn’t broken up, either. Even those red shoes reflect a magical air, and they almost call to mind the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz.
Her petite form stands at slightly less than 7 1/2 inches, and one might just imagine that the Puella Magi could lean down and take a small bow while grasping her frilly skirt. She is the very image of innocence, so anyone that wants to add a touch of magic to his or her anime figure collection should grab her before she finds more trouble in the city of Mitakihara.
