The battles continues for everyone: Saber against Assassin, Emiya vs. Mr. Kuzuki and Rin against Caster. The battle between Saber and Assassin is intense and time is running out (almost morning). Assassin is finally able to get his footing on level ground to deploy his secret technique “Turning Swallow Strike”. He unleashes it but Saber easily overcomes the attack to administer the last and final blow to Assassin. She processed forward towards Emiya and Rin. Assassin vanishes.
The battle between Emiya and Mr. Kuzuki is quickly decided. It takes one punch from Mr. Kuzuki to Emiya’s abdomen to send Emiya flying down into the center of the temple where Rin and Sakura are located.
Just as Caster is about to make the three of them: Rin, Sakura, and Emiya, her human scarifies for the Holy Grail, Saber arrives and deflects Caster’s spell. As Caster is going on to explain her new plan of having Saber become her Servant a new Servant appears in the temple. He is apparently offended by Caster’s remark to make the mighty king her Servant. He then unleashes his Noble Phantasm which is a barrage of swords and spears. They go flying towards Caster and her Master ultimately killing them both.
Rin, Emiya carrying Sakura, and Saber run quickly to escape from the collapsing temple. Later that morning Saber reveals a piece of information concerning the new Servant to Emiya and Rin. During the last Holy Grail wars, 10 years ago, she and this new Servant of the Archer class battled during the last stages of the Holy Grail wars and back then she was unable to defeat him (he also proposed to her during their battles).
Later that day, Emiya brings up the possibility of Saber staying in the present world after the wars are over. Saber has no plans of staying around after the final battles. Her wish is to return to her time and allow another person to be chosen as king. This really upsets Emiya. He wants Saber to live in the present world and to forget about what type of person she was back then. Saber explains that even if they do win the Holy Grail there is no guarantee that she will be able to stay. She’s not sure how the new Servant was able to remain in the present world after the last war but she knows it wasn’t due to him winning the Holy Grail. She was the servant in the last war to win the Holy Grail and Kiritsugu Emiya used his command seal to force her to destroy the Holy Grail which caused the city to go up in flames (she felt very betrayed by him). This new information about his father, Saber, and the last Holy Grail wars surprises Emiya. He decides to go to Kotomine church for answers.
While at the church he learns that he can free Saber from her servant role by making her drink from the Holy Grail (He must use a command seal to do so). He also inquires about the 8th servant. This latest information shocks Kirei Kotomine. This is suppose to be a war between 7 servants not 8.
