This episode begins with Ryofu having a nightmare. When she wakes up she can’t grasp or hold onto anything.
The next fighting match is up. It is between Nanyo Academy and Youshu Academy. Up first is Hakufu and Ton-chan. Hakufu is easily defeated. How? Ton-chan kicks Hakufu in the leg repeatedly until she can no longer move them (a move Hakufu’s mother told Ton-chan would ensure his victory). That leaves Ryomou to fight Ton-chan. With a 1 – 2- move Ryomou easily places his head between her legs and he quickly surrenders. 1 win for Nanyo and 1 win for Youshu. The next opponent from Youshu is Kakuka Hoko. He swiftly defeats Ryomou and Youshu wins the match. Game over for Nanyo Academy.
After their defeat against Youshu, Hakufuand Koukin visit Gakushu in the hospital. Gakushu is suspicious of Enjuutsu’s orders, particularly the ones issued to Kannei. He wants to confront Enjuutsu for being such a coward.
At Rakuyo High School, Kaku has learned of Ryofu’s deceit concerning Seji and is determine to punish her. Ryofu has her mind set on higher goals and disposes of Kaku henchmen and allows Kaku to return to Totaku to let him know that she, Ryofu Hosen, will be back to defeat him.
Kaku goes to Youshu to inform them that Rakuyo will not be fighting the tournament and that they will also be keeping the Gyokeiji. This bit of information doesn’t sit well with them (or the other fighters once word get out. Ultimately it’s Totaku against all other fighters.) How will this play out?
Oh well, next episode 9 – we’re going to a hot springs! Yea, time for a nice relaxing break.
