Poll Results and Anime Convention Words of Wisdom

in Announcements

Boy, July just flew by. Now we are into August. Here are the results of our last poll (which I found very interesting) Drum roll Please  . . .

Who’s the most cunning, manipulative, lethal, deadliest, smartest, and most powerful?

By a whooping 57% the winner and the King of Ultimate Powerfulness is: Zero (Lelouch Lamperouge)

I want to personally thank those of you who voted. As I stated earlier I had a blast watching the result come in. It got me really excited about watching Code Geass and now I’m totally into it! Don’t get me wrong I love my Death Note but there may just be a new champion for justice in town!

This month’s poll concerns anime conventions – Do you attend anime conventions?

I hope we have plenty of voters on this one – I am quite curious to see how this poll turns out.

But before you go cast your vote (left column) I have one more favor to ask. If you’ve attended anime conventions regularly (you have gone to at least 3 or more conventions) what do you do to prepare yourself for the festivities? How many days or months do you prepare for the conventions or what advice would you give to a person who’s going to an anime convention for the very first time?

I’ve been to 1 anime convention and that was a little over a year ago. I had fun and it was certainly different but I did feel a bit overwhelmed with all the people, sounds, and heat (it was a hot Texas day and there were plenty of ambulances being called for passed out cosplayers) but I’ve always wondered if my first anime convention experience could have been more enjoyable had I had some words of wisdom on what to expect and what to do and what NOT to do.

So that’s what I’m asking. What advice would you give to the newbie who wants to go to an anime convention?around-arrows

Alrighty then, so that’s all I got. Please cast your vote in the left column and also leave me your words of anime convention wisdom below.

Your advice will be greatly appreciated!

Bye-nee!
