Fate Stay Night Disc 4 Archer: Episode 13
Winter Castle
This episode begins with a flashback of Saber. She is standing with one of her swords and an army of men. Present moment: Saber is completely worn-out from her battle with Rider. Rin informs Emiya that since he is not a true magus he can not replenish Saber’s mana. She needs something because without enough mana she will not be able to protect him or herself during the next battle. Her only options are 1. To have her master replenish her mana (Emiya can’t do this one) or 2. Be forces to take a human souls (hmm, Emiya doesn’t like this option, either). Either way the outcome isn’t looking too good.
Flashback: Emiya, while watching over Saber, falls asleep and has a dream about Saber but it takes place in the past before her name was Saber. She name use to be Arturia. She is removing a sword from a stone to become the new King of Britain and to no longer be human (Is she the King Arthur?).
The next day Emiya heads to the park to think over his current and unfortunate situation (Saber and the Holy Grail Wars). Illya shows up. She knows about Saber’s condition. She was there that night when Saber and Rider & he and Shinji fought. While she is revealing this information to him, she is placing Emiya under a paralyzing spell which easily allows her to capture him.
Emiya dreams: Emiya is dreaming (again) of Saber’s golden sword. The image is much clearer than the past dream. He wishes he can hold it at least once. Then he wakes up and is tied to a chair in Illya’s room. Illya enters the room and informs him that she doesn’t plan to kill him. She wants him to become her servant (of course he refuses).
Saber awakens and in her weaken state, goes looking for Emiya. She senses that he is in the enemy’s hands. She asks Rin for help (Archer would prefer to leave Emiya to his own helpless demise). Rin agrees to help Saber look for Emiya.
While Rin and Saber (and Archer) are looking for Emiya, Illya tells Emiya that if he doesn’t agree to be her servant she will kill both Saber and Rin. It’s easy for her to do so because she has already killed one master already, Shinji. That night when Emiya did not kill Shinji, Illya took it upon herself to finish him off (It is the Holy Grail Wars, after all).
Emiya still refuses to become her servant so she leaves the room to go kill Rin and Saber (if she can’t have him, then no one can). Emiya tries to get free of the ropes by using his limited abilities as Rin and Saber make their way closer to Illya’s castle.
