Fate Stay Night Disc 4 Archer: Episode 16
The Sword of the Promised Victory
Saber tries to come to Rin’s rescue but with no luck. Nothing she does has any effect on Berserker. Emiya, feeling very angry runs towards Berserker (w/no weapon) and Berserker swipes him away like a tiny fly but Emiya picks himself up and goes back towards Berserker again. Saber, seeing her master once again try to attack Berserker, begins to unleash her noble phantasm. Emiya sees what she is doing and in his fury uses a command seal to force her to stop the process (1 command seal down).
Emiya, is so tired of being useless and having Saber risk her life for him that he decides it is time to get focus. He creates this incredible sword out of thin air and uses it to slice Berserker’s arm which causes the arm and Rin to go crashing to the ground. The sword immediately breaks. He decides to try again but this time he focuses on making it unbreakable and with the help of Saber the two of them together head straight for Berserker and the sword goes straight into Berserker stopping him in his tracks. It is revealed that this sword that Emiya created is similar to Saber’s lost sword Caliburn. The sword she pulled from the stone. Even though it isn’t the real Caliburn it was able to kill Berserker 7 time in one swing.
The next day, Emiya awakens to find Saber sitting by his side and to his surprise next beside him, under the covers is Illya. Saber isn’t happy with Illya being there or her sleeping with Emiya in his bed.
During breakfast Rin and Saber scold Emiya for allowing Illya to stay with him. Rin is worried Illya will form another pact with another servant but Illya reveals to them all that she has no plans to do such a thing. Berserker was the only servant for her. Saber still insist that Illya leaves and she tries to get the support of Rin but Rin has changed her mind. She sees no reason why Illya should not stay with Emiya (a bit surprising. What does she have up her sleeve?)
After breakfast it’s time for Emiya’s training. Illya notices that Saber is holding back. Saber, a bit embarrassed, says that their bodies may touch if she fought Emiya earnestly (hmm, what’s going on here? She’s getting embarrassed a lot in these episodes).
During lunch the three of them sit around to enjoy the meal. Saber agrees to be a bit nicer to Illya. If Emiya can do it, so can she.
At night, Emiya goes to take a bath but is shocked (once again) to find Saber already in the bath. This time she is embarrassed about him seeing her body. She feels no man would find her muscular body attractive, it not Rin’s body at all. Emiya doesn’t reply. He embarrassingly leaves.
Later that night, Emiya can not sleep so he goes to his special place to work on his spells. Saber arrives and tells him about the dream she saw of his. It was of the huge fire. She goes on to say that his unhealthy need to put others’ life before his own is a path he shouldn’t be on and she can honestly say this to him because they are a lot of like.
The “witch” on the mountain is preparing for her takeover and eventual victory of the Holy Grail. Her only enemies are Lancer and Saber but she needs a magus to be a receptacle for the grail (for some reason) so she sets her eyes on a girl who has magus abilities flowing in her blood, Sakura.
The End – See you in the next episode The Mark of the Witch. Disc 5 episode 17
