Fate Stay Night Disc 5 Medea: Episode 17

Episode 17 The Mark of the Witch

It’s breakfast, Emiya, Saber, Rin, Illya, Sakura, and Fujimura are enjoying an excellent selection of food prepared by Sakura. Their breakfast is in interrupted by a news report detailing another series of gas leak incidents in the city.

After breakfast, Saber, Emiya and Rin have a war council to discuss the increase cases of gas leaks. They conclude that it must be the work of the Master on Ryudou Temple. Illya enters and reveals to them all that it isn’t the Master at the temple causing all the problems. It’s Caster the Magus Class Servant. Her true identity is Medea the back-stabbing witch. She killed her original Master after being summoned here and then she summoned for herself the servant Assassin. According to Illya the Master of Caster is just an ordinary human.

As Emiya and the others are discussing a plan of attack Issei drops by. He explains to Emiya that Mr. Kuzuki had left earlier for school and had asked that he come in to take care of some student council business. So, he thought it would be a perfect opportunity to see how Emiya was doing (Emiya has not been to school in a few days).

Emiya is surprised to hear what Issei has just said because how could Issei know when Mr. Kuzuki left for school. Issei reveals that Mr. Kuzuki has lived at Ryudou Temple for 3 years now.

Issei leaves and Rin, Emiya, and Saber decide to investigate into whether Mr Kuzuki is a Master after all. As Mr. Kuzuki is heading home Rin, Emiya and Saber try to determine if he is indeed a Master. It turn out that he is Caster’s Master.

It’s Rin, Emiya, and Saber against Caster and Mr. Kuzuki the odds look good for them but Mr. Kuzuki uses Caster’s powers to strengthen his body giving his side the strength advantage. Saber, Rin and Emiya are all brought to their knees quickly.

Caster reveals her plan to the three of them in the hopes that they will join her side. Her plan is to summon the Hoy Grail without fighting. Sounds good, right? Wrong! She will need a Magus to sacrifice for this plan to work. So, she is hoping that either Emiya or Rin would like to voluntary for the position. Obviously neither one of them agrees so Caster reveals that there is another Magus that she can easily use to be her sacrifice. She and Mr. Kuzuki quickly disappear.

Rin, Saber, and Emiya believe Caster is going after Illya. Emiya sends Sabers ahead to protect Illya. Once there she finds Sakura knockout on the floor. As she goes to assist Sakura, Sakura stabs Saber with an odd shaped knife. Saber is in disbelief but it turns out Sakura is being controlled by Caster. The knife Sakura used was actually Caster’s Noble Phantasm which when stabbed into her opponent makes them unable to use their Noble Phantasm. Rin and Emiya finally arrive just in time to see Caster take Sakura away from them.
