Episode 18 Decisive Battle

Rin, Emiya and Saber arrive at Ryudou Temple. As the 3 of them are running up the stairs, Rin changes directions and leads them into the forest where she uncovers a passage to Caster’s “real” temple. They enter the temple but before they can get to Caster and her Master they must fight a large army of skeletons. All three go into action using his/her skills and abilities to defeat the skeletons.

The passage is finally clear but then Assassin shows up. Luckily for Emiya and Rin he only wants to fight Saber. So Rin and Emiya are able to go through while Saber takes on Assassin. Apparently Assassin’s mana levels are dissipating due to him being summoned by a servant instead of a Master. It doesn’t really bother him though. At least he gets another chance to fight Saber.

Emiya and Rin see Sakura. Rin runs towards her but she barely misses an attack from Mr. Kuzuki. Emiya tells Rin she must go on to save Sakura. He will stay behind to fight Mr. Kuzuki. Rin continues forward while Emiya and Mr. Kuzuki battle.

Okay quick recap: Saber and Assassin are fighting one another and Emiya and Mr. Kuzuki are also fighting against each other. That leaves Rin to fight with Caster to get Sakura back.

Rin enters the center structure to get closer to Sakura. Caster says a few words to Sakura and immediately her mana begins to drain from her. Rin does her best to dodge and deflect the attacks coming from the possessed Sakura. As she is doing this she begins to recall a member of when she was younger and how she was telling her younger sister that her new named will be Sakura Matou and later that day her younger sister was taken away.

After her brief flashback, Rin receives more cuts and bruises from Sakura but she refuses to lose. She uses everything she has to break through to Sakura and releases her from Caster’s hold but unfortunately while in the process of breaking the spell by racing towards Sakura with magic gems Sakura manages to stab Rin.
