Ikki Tousen Disc 2 Historic Battles: Episode 7
In episode 7 Kannei tries to attack Hakufu Sonsaku with his baton but Koukin intervenes but his arm is severely hit by the baton. Hakufu jumps in because now Koukin is unable to fight. She takes on Kannei and wins (her skills have greatly improved).
In the battle between Kanu and Ryomou, Ryomou is getting her butt kicked. She can’t keep up it with the powerful punches and kicks she’s receiving from Kanu but just when you think all is lost Ryomou grabs hold of Kanu’s arm (with her powerful legs) sending both her and Kanu to the ground. Kanu can’t move because Ryomou has a tight grip on her arm. If she moves in any direction her arm will break (Koukin and Hakufu have arrived by this time). Kanu haven’t ever lost a battle, slowly starts to move and breaks her arm in the process but this does not stop our powerful fighter. She gets up and finishes Ryomou off. Round 1 goes to Seito.
Round 2: Hakufu is up next. Kanu immediately starts destroying Hakufu. (side note: the mysterious girl from Hakufu’s Broken Heart Healing Trip is also there watching from afar. She seems to know a whole lot about Hakufu and the Sho Haou inside – end side note). After landing a kick that sends Hakufu crashing to the ground the Sho Haou awakens but this time it’s slightly different. Hakufu is conscious and enjoying the moment. Kanu can barely defend herself let only attack Hakufu. She senses a “ferocious dragon” within Hakufu and decides there is only one way to end this fight. Hakufu also realizes there is only one way to conclude this battle. And together they both rush to each other and land a powerful kick to one another. BOOM they both collapse to the ground. Hakufu is knocked out but Kanu is conscious and gets up. Kanu wins! So, it’s on to Round 3, right? Koukin has a broken arm but can still fight, right? No, Kanu decides to forfeit the fight. She’s just satisfied with having fought a real battle and she leaves.
While Koukin and Ryomou are by Hakufu’s side, the mystery girl makes herself known by telling them that the ferocious dragon will eventually be fully awaken (she finds this all so interesting) and leaves. The next round of fights will be between Kyosho and Nanyo. With Koukin, Ryomou, and Gakushu injured how will they win?
Hopefully, Episode 8 on the DVD will provide more exciting answers,
