Ikki Tousen The Legendary Fighter Disc 1: Episode 4
This episode begins with Koukin teaching Hakufu basic fighting moves (remember the “basics” guy Ton-chan? He has a huge impact on Hakufu). After only seeing Koukin performs the techniques one time Hakufu learns the moves perfectly (for a “stupid” girl she learns quickly. I’m not really buying the whole “I’m stupid” routine).
Later Koukin received a call from Gakushu to meet up. At this meeting Gakushu tells Koukin that Totaku will probably start targeting Hakafu for a few reasons:
1. She fought along side a fighter named Kakoton. The opponents that were battling were affiliates of Rakuyo High School.
3. The school Kakoton attends is Youshu and his school has formally announced they are against Totaku
2. She is the Sho Haou (huge threat to Totaku)
One of the three fighters from Yoshou, Hanno, carries out the order from Totaku by taking Koukin as a hostage to lure Hakufu into battle. Once Koukin learns of this plan he makes his mind up to battle all the fighters before Hakufu gets there (he doesn’t want the Sho Haou to awaken and consume Hakufu, again).
Koukin does very well in his battles but he doesn’t fair well when he confronts Shigi Taishiji, Youshu’s strongest fighter. When Hakufu arrives Koukin is sprawled out on the ground. It’s now time for Hakufu to defend Koukin and to take this other fighter out (well at least she tries to). Taishiji easily knocks Hakufu to the ground but she continually gets up ready for more fighting. But she suddenly remembers her basics training earlier that morning and prepares to attack with her newest technique. She attacks and lands a powerful punch that sends this huge guy crashing to the ground. It also sends Hakufu crashing to the ground in the opposite direction.
Taishiji gets up. He can easily defeats Hakufu but he doesn’t complete Totaku’s order. He’s satisfied with the outcome of this battle and leaves. He senses the powerful energy within Hakafu and respects that. Unfortunately, his decision to not complete Totaku’ order infuriates his leader Ryuyo and fellow fighter Hanno. They are enraged (mostly fearful of what Totaku will do) they pull out knives and stab Taishji from the back and front. Taishji is able to punch the 2 losers into the wall before collapsing into a pool of his own blood.
During the battle between Taishiji and Hakufu, Saji meets Totaku (in an attempt to kill Totaku). He can’t do it so instead he has the pleasure of fighting Ryofu Housen. She defeats him (game over Saji). Later, Totaku has Housen issue the Big Fighters Tournament.
